Call for Papers for the 10th National Conference on Communications
The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) is pleased to announce the 10th National Conference on Communications (NCC 2026), hosted in collaboration with the Makerere University College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) at Makerere University.
Held under the theme “Accelerating Market-Driven Innovation for Uganda’s Development,” this milestone edition reinforces UCC’s commitment to promoting a vibrant, research-driven ICT ecosystem that supports national development priorities.
NCC 2026
As part of its mandate to promote innovation and sector growth, UCC invites submissions from researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers across eight thematic tracks.
These include Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Digital Financial Services (FinTech), Smart Societies, and ICT applications for social impact in sectors like health and education. NCC 2026 provides a strategic platform for showcasing solutions that address national challenges and accelerate Uganda’s digital economy.
Contributors are encouraged to submit Full Research Papers (up to 8 pages), Extended Abstracts for ongoing work, Industry Case Studies, or Policy and Position Papers. Submissions should be made via the official conference portal, link in the button provided below.
Key timelines are as follows:
- Submission Deadline: 1st May 2026
- Notification of Acceptance: 22nd May 2026
